Country: Australia
Sport: Ocean swims, sailing, previously gymnastics
Profile: I love being in and on the water - there's something about the ocean that frees me from the day-to-day grind and reminds me of the important things in life. I also love the sense of achievement when I have challenged myself physically and mentally, and the camaraderie with fellow participants. | Sophie Morgan |
 |
Country: Australia (English Origin)
Sport: Ski Paddling
Profile: I started competing in 2006 and train by ocean paddling from North Bondi and the harbour from Rose Bay. I love the wide expanse of the ocean, the beauty of the early mornings and the wildness created in stormy conditions. I enjoy the feeling - the pure liberation, the peace, the exhilaration, the pain, the embarrassment, the fun, the fear, the satisfaction. There is so much to learn in this sport and it is hard to have the patience and skill required to master a ski and to reap the benefits associated with the sport. Not many do! Look out Ocean Series 2008.
