This is the month of Tough Bloke, an awesome off road running event, not for the faint hearted. The world famous Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim is a not-to-be-missed event on the 7th with a trip to the Fiji and Vanuatu Ocean Swims up for grabs. Stoke & Stride leaps into it's third round Swimrun event with all entrants in the draw to win $50,000, and coming up in January the Audax Alpine Classic Road Bike Tour is a unique experience not to be missed.

SPONSORED EVENT - BONDI TO BRONTE OCEAN SWIM: 7th December 2008 |

Maximum swimmers for the 2008 Bondi to Bronte is 2000.
This Sunday 7th December, Bronte Surf Club will be hosting the 8th annual Banana Boat Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim. The Banana Boat Bondi to Bronte event is one of Sydney’s iconic ocean swims. What makes this event so unique is that it’s a journey swim, starting and finishing at two of Sydney’s most famous and popular beaches.
The big 2.4km race will start at 10am at Bondi Beach with swimmers taking a Southern course around Mackenzie’s headland, down the coastline into Bronte Beach. For spectators, the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk is an ideal location to view the event from, as the swimmers turn the Pacific coastline into a Kaleidoscope of colour and white water.

YOUR EVENT FEEDBACK - Port Macquarie Half Ironman |

"This was my first visit to Port Macquarie and first time entry to complete the Half Ironman event in preparation for my first full Port Macquarie Ironman.
The morning was a little grey and cold but that didn't affect the feeling of excitement in the air as all the athletes completed their final race preparations. During the swim course it wasn't very easy to identify the markers with all the boats around but at least the water was at a nice 20 degrees. When I hit the bike leg, I was surprised by the amount of rolling hills we travelled across allowing for some much needed short recovery for the legs and the run leg along the coast was refreshing.
The one thing that stood out the most at Port Macquarie though, was the efforts of the locals support throughout and along the whole course. It was unbelievable the amount of support the locals offered and was very encouraging. I think this alone made the Port Half Ironman such an outstanding event and with such a welcoming crowd I know I'll be looking forward to returning next year. Thank you Port Macquarie locals for your support to the athletes."

It keeps me always reaching for higher hights and is always motivating to be involved in. My next goal is to cycle from Sydney to Wollongong and back (180km).
One thing I dislike: Being honked at while trying to work out and enjoy myself!
