Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim - Dec 7, 2008
Thanks for all the volunteers, both at the clubhouse and out in the water - your hardwork and smiles delivered a great day for all. I will be back next year!
Tam, Australia
Great event. Well run very professional. The bouys are easy to see which is something many events do not do. I hope to see this event continue for a long time .

Just to say that the event on Sunday 7 Dec was fantastic! The organisation (and being a volunteer on the day) was extremely well executed, and the support along the way during the swim by Lifesavers & volunteers really helped to keep me going on my maiden ocean swim. Crossing the finish line & seeing all the colour & support was amazing! Congratulations on the running of another successful event & big pat on the back to all the team involved - was totally awesome experience!!

Excellent race. Well run and plenty of alert patrol persons in the water. Well done and thank God it wasn't like 2006 (last time I raced).
Fiona, NSW
The marker buoys were fantastic. Water was a bit slow at the finish for the 50+ age group. Overall a great day. See you next year.
Peter, NSW
Great swim, perfect conditions. Somehow missed the pre-race briefing that was supposed to be held, but that didn't really affect us. Hope to do it again.

I know it is hard to please everyone and while overall it was a great day, great beaches, generally well run (particualry the registration I thought!), good surf and water temp and great goodies afterwards, I did feel like I was swimming through a maze as I came across the huge numbers in lower age groups that happens in these larger races. I pitied the faster guys in the age groups behind. Well done, thanks.
Andrew, NSW
Thanks for organising a great swim yesterday. Even though you can't take credit for the perfect conditions You still organised a pretty good event. As the website says "Starting and finishing at two different beaches is one of the unique aspects of this journey." In particualr it gives recreational swimmers like myself a real sense of achievement!! - It gave me the opportunity to enjoy a swim in an area that I would not venture into unsupervised. Thanks once again. Steven, NSW
Port Macquarie Half Ironman - Nov 9, 2008
This was my first visit to Port Macquarie and first time entry to complete the Half Ironman event in preparation for my first full Port Macquarie Ironman. The morning was a little grey and cold but that didn’t affect the feeling of excitement in the air as all the athletes completed their final race preparations. During the swim course it wasn’t very easy to identify the markers with all the boats around but at least the water was at a nice 20 degrees. When I hit the bike leg, I was surprised by the amount of rolling hills we travelled across allowing for some much needed short recovery for the legs and the run leg along the coast was refreshing. The one thing that stood out the most at Port Macquarie though, was the efforts of the locals supporting throughout and along the whole course. It was unbelievable the amount of support the locals offered and was very encouraging. I think this alone made the Port Half Ironman such an outstanding event and with such a welcoming crowd I know I’ll be looking forward to returning next year. Thank you Port Macquarie locals for your support to the athletes.

KMS Website Feedback
Just wanted to pass on to Steve that I have just had a look at his KMS website just now and am really impressed!!! It's a great site, great layout, love how it has Oz and international listings. And even the advertising is really audience appropriate...reminded me to go and get a check up at a skin cancer clinic. I'm going to email the site details to everyone I train with...and mention to a few people about advertising on the site. It's a great network for sporty/healthy people.

Gold Coast Half Ironman - Oct 5, 2008
It was 5am on Sunday morning when I arrived at Calypso Bay to set up my bike and run transition equipment. The sky was clear and weather was forecasted to be a blistering 35 degrees. After tending to my equipment check, I knew that the first wave of swimmers would be starting soon, so I ran off to find the toilets, only to be greeted by a line of competitors that was at least 50m long. I couldn’t believe my eyes, an event that had over one thousand competitors only had about 12 port a loos. As we all stood in line with our legs crossed, I could see the expression of disappointment on the competitors faces. Thankfully the event started later than planned so most people would’ve made it to the line in time. This was the first time I did the Gold Coast Half Ironman and thoroughly enjoyed the day but next time I hope they have some more facilities for nervous competitors.

Cole Classic - Feb 3, 2008
Thanks for a great day on Sunday. The water safety was OUTSTANDING. We had people coming up on skis, jet skis and rigids all morning. Even swimming back to Manly after the race with Marty, we had two people come up on skis asking us if we were ok - we must have not looked ok!! Either way it felt like we were swimming around in the harbour there were so many craft. Sad about the finish, but that is nothing to do with you - just the weather. Hope to see you at another event and thanks again. Awesome job. Please pass this on to the Cole Bros. to say thanks as well.
Kind regards Hugh
Great event as always and extremely well organised which was no small achievement given weather, beach closures etc. Look forward to next year plus sun.

I have been meaning to drop you an email and say how well organized the CC was. You all coped with the change so calmly and efficiently and there were a large number of entrants to move..so well done to you all. Those from the Rose Bay Surf Club enjoyed another pleasant swim. I loved the short 2km, especially as I had celebrated another birthday the night before!
Well done, Ruth
I just wanted to pass on my compliments and thanks for putting together this event which was so well organised and bloody well attended. I don't know how you did it with all the changes in ocean conditions, the logistics of moving the finishing line and dealing with the swarms of people flowing back and forth between Manly and Shelley. Bloody excellent. I was interviewed by 2GB radio between the 10k and the 2k swim so I gave a good plug to the Cole and my swim of course. Thanks for putting my story up on your website.

Thong Challenge - Jan 26, 2008
A MASSIVE thanks for all of your efforts. Securing North Bondi and Noosa were keys to the success of the event, and having yourself on the ground in Sydney to work alongside me was vital. I'm yet to debrief with Havaianas to get their views on the event nationally, but from my end, your assistance with the event was critical. Obviously it's quite tough running any event for the first time, and I'm sure next year and beyond, as long as Havi's run it again, will be a lot easier now having experienced it once. You went beyond the call of duty many times and it didn't go unnoticed.

Thanks for the information Stephen. The event was really amazing, and I felt like a pro during the dolphin diving section at the start (due to your good training).

Firstly, Bondi to Bronte the other weekend was my 1st Ocean swim ever & I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! I’m now proud to admit that I’m rather obsessed with the ocean swims & love the culture & atmosphere it entails. I’ve done the last couple of swims since- love it! Thank you for organising the event & I look forward to next year.

Junior Ocean Swim - March 31, 2007
My
12 yo Patrick had the opportunity to get a taste of a real ocean
event in some testing conditions with plenty of water safety. Well
done on today's event. Pete
